How to use Hakuhodo Brushes
Hakuho-do's makeup brushes are made from natural hair without cutting the edges. That means the surface of the head is covered with natural tips of hair. To make the most of the soft edge, it is essential to use a makeup brush horizontally, stroking along with the flow of the hair. When you use a brush in the appropriate way, your makeup goes on well and the brush lasts longer.

How to get cosmetics on brushes

Apply the cosmetic lightly and evenly to the surface of the brush. A round-shaped brush should be turned to pick up the cosmetic, and a flat brush should be dipped in it on both sides.

Powder
Dip the tip of the brush lightly in powder,
then twist it around on a powder puff to distribute the powder evenly on the brush.
Blush
Dip the brush horizontally in the blush and get it all over the surface of the brush. Apply in same direction as the hair.
Eye shadow
Dip brush horizontally in eye shadow and get it on both sides evenly.
Foundation
Take some liquid foundation on your palm and put it on both sides of the brush.
Eyeliner
Transfer an ample amount of eyeliner from its own applicator onto a brush, and you can put on the eyeliner smoothly.
Eyebrow
Holding the brush erect, apply powder to brush and dust off excess powder on the back of your hand.
Concealer
ÞRÞ–ÞV¤[Þ¹¤[
Take concealer onto the brush horizontally and cover the entire surface of the brush.
Lip
Hold the brush horizontally and put a generous amount of the cosmetic on both sides of the brush.

How to use makeup brushes

Here are our basic makeup brush techniques, using our standard brushes. (Brushes used in the pictures are listed in parentheses.)

1. Foundation
- StG518 Concealer 14#
Apply liquid foundation on cheeks, temples, and chin. Spread it outwards and pat with sponge to make skin look perfect.
2. Concealer
-StG516 Concealer 10#
Apply concealer under the eye and on any red spots, etc. beside nostrils.
Don't spread too much, and pat it with fingers to obscure any lines.
3. Concealer/Spot cover
-StK007 Eyeliner
Apply concealer on pigmented spots or freckles.
4. Powder
-St206 Powder, round and flat
Put face powder onto a puff and brush over entire face using the surface of the brush. First, sweep the center of the face.
The more you brush, the better your complexion will become. Then brush from the center outwards. Apply powder on temple, cheek, chin, and neck, so as not to leave any distinction between face and neck
5. Shadow base
-StS120 Eye Shadow, round and flat
Apply light color powder on eye zone. It makes the eye zone look transparent and helps bring out the color of eye shadow. Sweep brush horizontally on eye zone and inner corner of eye, starting from the point where you would like to focus color.
6. Eye Shadow
-StK004 Eye Shadow
Using the tip of the brush, apply eye shadow from the rim of the eye upward.
7. Shadow liner
-StK005 Eye Shadow
Line the rim of the eye with the tip of the brush, and use the side of the brush to apply eye shadow along the edge of the eye.
8. Eyeliner
-StK007 Eyeliner
Take liquid eyeliner onto the brush and sweep it from the outer corner of the eyes,
then from the inner corner of the eyes, making a line as close to the lashes as possible.
9. Nose Shadow
-StC102 Eye Shadow
Sweep from the inner corner of the brows to the outer corner and then from the inner corner of the brows downwards along the bridge of the nose.
10. Crease line
-St233 Eye Shadow, angled
If you would like to make your eyes appear deeply chiseled, use a darker color. An angled brush fits on the crease perfectly.
11. eyebrow
-StK015  eyebrow
Holding the eye brush vertically, draw the brow's peak and extend the line to form a narrow outer edge.
For a natural look, brush with light, individual strokes to fill in any gaps.
12. Brow Comb and Brush
-StK014 Brush and comb
After drawing eyebrows, use the brush to blur the distinction between brows and skin for an even more natural look. The comb is useful for brow trimming.
13. LipsS -StH1012 Lip cover, 273 flat
Holding lip brush horizontally, first brush the lower lip with one stroke.
Then place the tip of the brush at the corner of the mouth and draw inwards. For the top lip, begin at the corner and draw upwards toward the peak, gradually raising the brush up vertically as you go.
Turn brush at the top and draw it horizontally down the other side.
14. Blush
-StS110 Blush, round and flat
Use the fullest part of the brush. Apply blush from the ear toward the nostril, gently holding the blush brush horizontally.
15. Highlight
-StS116 Highlight, round and flat
Apply light color on the bridge of the nose or chin to make them appear higher than other parts.
If you put it around the eyes, it brightens your face .
16. Finishing
-St200 Finishing, angled
Dust off excess powder, eye shadow and blush, brushing from the center outwards.
